SURVEYS and METERS

     an information sheet Jan 2008.

Our technicians use the very latest equipment for surveying, the HF R4 EMR meter we use measures the speed of the flow of electro-magnetic radiation, over a very wide frequency range and shows us the direction of strong signals.

Scientists explain that radiation is like a river and its tributaries, each tributary will have different flow rates and volume rates and speed rates, some rivers may be deep and flow very slow, others fast and wide; our meters show a bar scale that represents the flow rate measured in uW/m² (microwatts per square metre) and speed in mV/m (millivolts per meter) of the EMR river.

In our Survey, we will be able to demonstrate any dangers by showing you readings, the direction, and probable source of detected EMR.  It has to be remembered that, sources turn on and off over daily and weekly paterns.  By using the 3 pieces of information and add time period, our technicians will be able to determine major risks, if your going to be flooded or washed away.  For legal and insurance purposes greater accuracy and understanding of the threats will be needed so a Full Neighbourhood Survey or an Insurance Report will be required.  A Full written report, with risk assessment is provided per site and specification.  Please call us for a Quotation.

If you need a Full Neighbourhood Survey it may be a good idea to purchase your own meter from us.  We will show you how to use the functions and once you have taken readings every hour for a week, this can be done over a period of weeks, even months; we can forward them onto the factory for analysis and recommendation (for an extra admin fee).

The HF R4 EMR is latest model in this range and measures all signals from 1 MHz frequency to 10 GHz frequency.

The meter comes with two antennas included: large antenna for frequencies from 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz; small antenna for measuring of frequencies from 2.4 GHz to 10 GHz.

Latest University technology used; meter functions independently certified; function for audio analysis of signal included.
